Spaulding China Collector Books

There are several collector books on Royal Copley, Royal Windsor, and Spaulding. I personally find the Wolfe's and Joe Devine Books to be the best reference books. The first Wolfe's Collector Books were published in 1983 and then updated and republished again in 1992. Then the books were reworked with additional content by Mr. Joe Devine and published in 1999. Following that release Mr. Devine started work on a complete update and layout for a new reference book. That book became larger with many new pieces shown and published in 2006. Schroeder Publishing Co. Inc. closed its doors in 2010 after 40 years of publishing Collector Books.

There was a tremendous amount of research done while so many were still living from that era. I find myself reading all this information from time to time. It is fascinating to learn about the pottery industry in Ohio during this time period. The size of the original books also makes it easier to carry them for reference. Used copies of these books can easily be found on EBAY and other internet websites.

If you are looking for a coffee table book the Schneider one is an option. My issue with it are the photos are of poor quality and there are quite a few pieces shown that have been proven to not be from Spaulding China Co.
